Before & After

The following is just a sample of some of the many projects we've been involved with over the years.

Kitchen Island Makeover

We removed the table from this island and built up
the base to support a beautiful uninterrupted granite
countertop, leaving room for stools to tuck under for
reading the newspaper or sampling the cookies
once they are out of the oven.
As the house featured ample oak, the island was
painted and over-glazed in a black stria tying in
the colors from the family room fireplace marble
and making it the true focal point in this area.
Guest Bedroom Retreat

Colors chosen from the bedding were glazed onto one
wall of this guest room using a dragging technique.

The soft and flowing movement of color on this feature
wall draw you in, calm you down and then take you
away into slumberland.

***Caution:  Your guests may never leave!!
Children's Bedroom Grows Up

This child's room encompasses her love of fun,
movement and color.

Now all little girls grow up, but they should never
loose their zest for fun and whimsy.

A sophisticated update for the tween in the house.
Log Cabin Dinning Room Ambience

Amidst the foothills of the Rocky Mountains of Alberta,
this beautiful log home was just waiting for me to come
and color its world.  One of the first rooms we tackled
was the Dinning Room.  With a cool, uninviting
atmosphere, its no wonder it was used as an overflow
office space.
A beautiful parchment glaze transformed this space
so much that now famiy and friends linger until the
candles burn down to the holder.

Front Foyer Time Travel

Since a casltle in England or Scottland was too far a commute for my client, she asked me to bring her love of the "Old World"  to the suburb for her to enjoy on a daily basis.
Throughout the kitchen and family room we
brought in texture by creating faux cinder block walls, antiqued with glazes to age and warm the treatment.
In the front entrance we painted a glazed fresco on the lower walls and incorporated the same cinder-block treatment - way up - in a broken wall design to add age.
Fireplace Backdrop

Check out the "after".  What more can I say.

A beautiful metalic glaze transforms this display area over the fireplace and leaves everyone speechless.
